We’ve been on a special Christmas mission from Morpeth Town Council to design a Christmas trail around the town. Launching today, you’ll be able to pick up a sheet from any participating business or the More in Morpeth website and either take part in our adult’s Christmas quiz trail or kids’ Christmas Elf Hunt to be in with a chance to win a special prize! Big thanks to all the businesses for taking part, the brilliant Reactive Design for designing our trail worksheets, Colin Washbourne from Adventure Signs for creating our fantastic elves and the insane talents of Abbi Lavelle on store windows. Don’t forget, Morpeth’s Christmas Light Switch On takes place on Saturday with free rides and face painting for the kids and live music all day. Always love supporting the brilliant Lottie Thompson with #Morpeth events. Can't believe what started as a little event to encourage people safely back to the centre following Covid is now a staple in the Morpeth calendar and in its third year!
Well that was fun! 🐶🐾 Thank you to everyone who came out today for Barkade. 🐾 This little event was something I decided to do in the Arcade in 2021 to drive some much needed footfall after covid lockdowns and to cater for a town that is full of pooches! 🐶 We have a small patch of grass, some podiums and lots of fun! Three years on and 10 year old Max who has entered every year and who told me today counts down to this event every year finally won best in show with his Labrador Millie! 💖 Thank you to everyone who helps with this event! You are all stars! Matt Bailey our best host ever who gets everyone involved in the event and laughing! Pets at Home Lyria and Dan for judging! This is Lyrias 3rd year judging and she takes it as seriously as Simon Cowel. My Pet HQ in Morpeth for donating the winners hamper!
